From the first day that you were notified of my father's death, you were on top of everything, collecting his body the same day from Murfreesboro, working with my mother and sister in selecting the casket, working the obituary, getting the Death Certificate, providing information to the Social Security office, ordering the head stone from the VA, arranging for the "Honor Guard from the US Army, and so many other little things that made my family's life and stress level very minimal during the time of great sorrow. Several members of the public, who attended the service, commented on the fact that "father was laid away in style". Your service was a "Class Act" thank you very much for all of your help.

Death Certificates Early

Top 10 Percent of Establishments Receive
Certificates of Superior Performance

Nashville, May 21, 2008

The Tennessee Department of Health, Office of Vital Records has awarded Certificates of Superior Performance to the top 10 percent of Tennessee funeral establishments for death certificate timeliness in 2007.

"The death certificate is a critical document for getting families back into the business of life," said State Registrar Sharon M. Leinbach. "Without it, a myriad of issues such as life insurance, property transfer and closing accounts are simply left undone and families suffer.

The Rose of Sharon Funeral Home was in the 10 percent of Tennessee funeral establishments who showed their true concern for families by making sure that death certificates were filed quickly and in the hands of the family.
